Pastel Ink is Chartacter from Moetan which is a series of English language study aid published by SansaiBooks in Japan. A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Originally conceived from a series of books teaching Otaku English phrases, MOETAN stands for 'Methodology Of English, The Academic Necessity'. The acronym is an obvious play on the MOE word for cute young girls, and has spawned a gigantic franchise, and a new anime series!
